National Nurses' Week

Unfortunately, I have had occasions in my lifetime to be in the hospital. Fortunately, I have had the wonderful care of hardworking and caring nurses. So I'd like to wish them and my favorite nurse, sjhw_tolerance, and any other nurses on my friends list a great big "Thanks!"

I feel compelled to add my thanks to yours. I've only found myself hospitalized twice, but the second time was a doozy - having landed in the ortho ward.

It wasn't just the nurses, but everyone who helped me. Nursing, in all its forms is a calling. Blessed angels who didn't chide me for pissing myself after 4 1/2 hours of orthopedic surgery and it was shift change at 9 o'clock at night. Men and women who made sure I wasn't suffering and comfortable, my right arm completely useless to me.

Yeah, I owe a huge debt to those folks.
