still the celebration haunts

so first day of semester of uni for this year was pretty good, i am less terrified about statistics&psychology than i thought i would be. that's mostly because the lecturer is easy to understand and pretty funny, even if she does use overheads and not powerpoint presentations (because, she says, she "doesn't want Bill Gates to rule the world" ( Read more... )

i bought my bestfriend an iPod shuffle for her birthday, that was the most i could afford at the time XD i was all "she'll be grateful to even HAVE an mp3 player, i don't even have one!!" haha. but yeah, like i said, i'd need to have one big enough for at least 13GB and shuffles don't appeal to me personally.

i'd go green. :3 and by problems i was thinking more that the battery runs out quickly (at least i've heard), earphones are bad quality, etc.

iPods really aren't as bad as people make them out to be. It's the typical thing, where people have to bash anything popular. But yeah, I do actually highly suggest getting an iPod, the new Nanos are quite practical.

i mentioned some problems above, which people have told me (like battery/earphones) so i don't think it's a case of snobbery or whatev you want to label the phenomenon of bashing popular things XD (i agree with you, though, that happens a lot.) so i'm just legitimately worried that i spend money on it &it stuffs up on me, y'know?

nanos seem cool, except i'd want more space and don't really want video. but thanks for the link, i didn't check out the Apple store yet (cus i am stupid, apparently).

Yeah, I used to dislike the headphones, but that doesn't really matter. You can plug any type of headphones you want into it, even the ones you like the most now. I just got used to the small headphones, and now I actually prefer them. Battery depends, I used to have an (really) old Mini that would die after nine hours, but my current one can last up to two days. Regardless, I just charge it every night.

Of course, I'm not going to lie, I am completely bias (biased?) because I am hopelessly in love with my iPhone. It's sad, I know. v_v

oh i suppose you're right about the headphones thing. and your battery sounds cool, i've had people tell me their's lasted about 4hrs or less than haha. which would really suck.

(biased, methinks.) i've heard of the iPhone but never actually known what it entails or seen one. i remember you made a post about how great it was though &i remember thinking "now she's made me want one!!" XD funny how i remember that but nothing about what it does haha.

I had an iPod, but it wouldn't register half my songs because "weren't compatible" with its stupid Apple software. Plus, iTunes bogged the fuck out of my computer and half the time I couldn't even load it. So I sold the piece of crap to my cousin who has a Mac and got a Zune for myself.

Zune is working out much better, and since it's a Microsoft product it's compatible with everything on my computer. You can't go wrong with 30g of space, and the sound quality and video/picture resolution looks great. And I love that you can customize the background. I've got a few I cycle through that are FFX, SVU, and Sailormoon. :3 ( ... )

it would be good for the train, yes. 40mins does seem rather long to go without music. XD;

yeh, and i'm actually going to it tomorrow..lol. dammit.

it's awkward when you just star at people boarding the train...and you're not reading a book or anything. that, and it's stupid to look out a window at night when there's nothing to look at but black.

i'd actually recommend an ipod, but that's because i went from an MP3 player to an iPod Mini and have had it since I got it, four years ago. what most people don't understand when 'their ipod breaks' is that there are places you can check online to find tricks that make it work again.. one trick on the apple site is turning the lock switch on and off then pressing menu and play at the same time until the apple logo appears. my brother thought his ipod broke and this fixed it! but idk, i only have 2.67GB of songs, so my mini is perfect for me in that i don't watch videos or fap over photos (wtf? why would you want that on your ipod, anyway?) my bro has an ipod touch and that is a niceeeee piece of technology. ANYWAY. i digress; any mp3 player would be good for passing the time, walking down the street, going to the gym, tuning annoying people out, etc...

yeah, like i said in the post, i just want music on it so it seems silly buying something that can put pictures etc on it. but i wanted more space, and if you get more space you get that function, etc D:
