I saw a pattern in Nate's flare ups and his diet. I told him to not eat any more dairy and we'll see if he improves. He hasn't eaten any since yesterday morning and has been getting better. I made him some instant miso soup and it really fixed him up. He hasn't been having any more pains, only sensitivity in his intestines

He may have shocked his system.
Also, we did research on lactose intolerance and IBS and found that L.I. can suddenly manifest in teens and adults around the age of 20 with no problems with lactose in their pasts. It's also prevalent in about 50% of people with Mediterranean descent and Nate's half Portuguese/Cape Verdean.

As for the Native American thing, the other sites we read said that people of Asiatic descent (Native Americans and Inuits are in this catagory) are about 85% or more likely to be lactose intolerant. I guess it just has to do with the fact that Asiatic people drink and consume less lactose in their environments than Northern Europeans do.
Mediterraneans about half, since they have some cow milk and goat's milk.
Atleast, that's my guess.
