Eh. Life goes on.

Well, Kerry gave in, so Bush wins again. Any shred of faith I had in democracy flew out the window with Kerry's will to fight this bitch out to the end. I do honestly believe I'll be living in either Canada or Europe within my next 20 years, and I'll be glad. As much as I love California, I don't think I can stand to live in a country where people ( Read more... )

*hugs* I'm so sorry. :P If he starts overusing the word 'draft', get the hell outta there.

If you're ever considering moving to Australia, lemme know. I'm in the process of helping another American friend with a move, so I'm well-versed in what's involved.

It's possible Nate and I might have to, if things get really hairy in the next year or so.

We've got a connection in Canada that can help us get a place and become citizens, but it's good to know you'd help us if we needed it, too. I deeply thank you.

It'll be nice to know that when you're on a boat to the middle east, kiddo. <3

Much love to the lazy 18-20somethings who just don't care, but want to bitch like they have a right to, anyways.

Well my sincierest apologies for not seeing eye-to-eye with you on this, but I feel it is also my duty as a citizen to choose NOT to vote. I don't like Bush, and I don't like Kerry. And if this is the best our political system can do, then I for one don't want to be a part of it.

Isn't a matter of seeing eye-to-eye with me. It's a matter of principle and not being a selfish fuck excuse for a human being ( ... )

I really wish I could've voted, although with the electoral college, I don't know how much of a difference it would've made, since Bush won Popular and Electoral votes, I think. I don't understand how anyone could vote for him, really.. bah. Take me with you to Canada/Europe. I'm house trained! :D

Yeah. The system here in America regarding elections is so corrupt and antiquated, I'm suprised we got this far. Well, actually... you can thank us Dems and Social Democrats for that (God Bless FDR). Unfortunately, it's just like the neocons and ignorant, apathetic wannabe anarchists to take the prosperity and potential the progressive leftists create and just run around with it like a retarded two year old with a firecracker.

We need a coup. We need a revolution. All the blue states should just join Canada. We can build up, since all the major industrial centers are Democratic, and then wipe out all the neocon and hick states.

I'll be sure to smuggle you with me wherever I go. Trust me on that, as long as you're willing to help out with the bills and all, which I'm sure you are. Sure ain't gonna be easy, but it's gotta be done if things get any worse.

This is the beginning of the end of things as we know them. It's all a matter of time now.

I'm sure lazy now, but if I have to do something, I definitely will.

WI was a blue state, correct? Was MI? See, then those two plus IL can just.. migrate up to Canada and all will be okay. Heh. Even though IL has a strong Republican base in the areas AROUND Cook County (but in all honesty, those places don't matter). I guess all the industrial centers ARE democratic, what with Cali and all.. never thought of that before.

I think I said the first time Bush was elected, or sometime before this election, that if he gets elected again, i'm going to Canada. And look at what's happened.

Most of the Great Lakes region states (including IL and I believe Missouri) were blue.

It's all a matter of looking at it from a cold, calculating stategic view. You cleanse the repubs and staunch conservatives from the blue states, seceed, cut ties to the 'United States', which are red, and appeal to Canada for annexation or immigration. Considering what the blue states have to offer in comparison to the red states, we've got a winning deal.

In the event of a schism like this, or even a civil war or revolution on the part of the blue states, we'd be supported by atleast Canada, most likely the EU would offer something, as they'd be more for what we stand for than what Bush's America stands for.

Most of the more military minded leftists I talk to and Nate cavorts with all agree on this. The seeds are planted and quickly a-sproutin'.
