[Drabble] Maybe it's not so awkward after all

The first time Takaki actually spoke to Keito was when both of them were alone in the dressing room. Keito was occupied with a book in hand and Takaki fidgeted, growing uncomfortable at the silence.
He racked through his mind, trying to find something, anything, that would make the silence go away because Takaki - being Takaki - didn’t like it. After minutes of struggling, his mind finally clicked. Clearing his throat to get Keito’s attention, he took a deep breath and spoke the English words he had learnt from Jin, grinning lopsidedly when he finished.
Keito blinked - once, twice - and burst out into fits of laughter, laughing at Takaki’s face and at his broken English. Takaki pouted and crossed his arms across his chest like the little child he was inside.
Closing his book, Keito got up and approached Takaki, ruffling his hair. “Next time you want to learn English, come to me and not Akanishi-kun,” he said and smiled, walking his way toward the door. But before he left, he turned around and winked at Takaki, “But I wouldn’t mind if we did that sometime.”
As soon as the younger boy was out of sight, the pout turned into a bright smile. Stroking his head, he felt his heart flutter as the touch he received still lingered. He didn’t know what Keito had meant because he himself didn’t know what gibberish English he was talking about, but he had a feeling that this was the beginning of a new and beautiful friendship.
