Pi is cold . .its like the begining of film,he just felt nervous ne. . I think. .XD. .and the cast still not close yet. .i think its just time. .pi will be more warm if they are a bit closer. .pi always like that ne. .he is just dificult to talk with strangers. .

Yamapi coulda been really focused on the filming, since it's such a classic, and it's reeeally important that he does a good job. And it was with a bunch of strangers, like you said. XD Anyways, it's just one guy's opinion.

Me too! Looking at manga Joe, I can't imagine how they're going to do it.. long, slightly flipped up bangs??? XD
I don't know if he'd bulk up, Joe is supposed to be pretty skinny.. Hmmm can't wait to see! XDD

Well, filming just started so Yamapi's probably still adjusting. I get the impression he takes a while to warm up to people, so maybe we'll hear about him being his usual self on the set after a while.

Then again, it's a totally different role from anything he's played before, so maybe not.

His hair sounds like it's almost Kurosagi-style? I am crossing my fingers.

They're strangers, a large number of strangers, and a lot of them are veteran actors too.. I can see Yamapi being a bit nervous.. Ashita no Joe itself is before my time and I don't really know, but when I look around for reports everyone talks it up sooo much, it's probably quite a weighty piece of work. I'm sure he feels the pressure there.

I like the current hairstyle! Finally stopped being a mop/poodle/Christmas tree... XD But I'm really looking forward to a new look for Pi too.

And it's probably hard to relate with actors that are incredibly serious or have a GIANT reputation. If I recall correctly, Yamapi was also intimidated by Yamazaki during Kurosagi initially. And I'm sure Yamapi is aware of the criticism about him being cast to play Joe (poor Pi).

I just hope he doesn't overthink things and that the director will help him out. This is probably one of the most crucial projects Pi has ever undertaken, as the possible backlash should he fall short of being 100% perfect for the role will be HUGE.

The recent hairstyles have been interesting. I tried getting a friend of mine to watch Buzzer Beat a while back, and she refused because "Yamapi stuck his head in a microwave"...... LOL

I really didn't understand him accepting this role, to be honest, it seemed like such a huge risk. So far he has a pretty much flawless record both in his drama ratings and box office, why risk that with a project that seems to be so against the odds.. But he said last year, he didn't mind giving up everything he has up until now, so I guess he wants to challenge these new things no matter what. Oh Pi. I'll buy the DVD when it comes out. <3
