General things.

Long time, no post. So I figured I'd just shoot the breeze for a bit.

After about 2 months of my Mother having a medical crisis that's now resolved enough that she's back home, I've finally gotten some more time to myself. In RL I'm now enrolled in a phlebotomy class that starts the second week of January that, should I pass, will have an externship during the late spring/early summer months at a local clinic/hospital.

Been going through my doujinshi and re-watching my Yu-gi-oh DVDs. Surprisingly, I'm still very much in love with Seto Kaiba and Yami. Too bad my DVDs end around episode 113... Ah well. Been reading a lot of fan fiction in that fandom lately as well, and I've been kicking around the idea for a new story in that area, or rewriting one of my abandoned stories.

Been playing "Yu-gi-oh!: The Eternal Duelist Soul" for GBA a lot lately. Card Games against computers can be so addictive...

Found my old hand-me-down Kanji & Kana workbook from my brother last week. Decided to go to the library and pick up some related books so I could brush up on my Japanese. Hopefully I'll stick with it long enough to finally buckle down to learn more than a handful of kanji. I've got the hiragana down again in only a few days, hopefully it won't take that long for the katakana.

And now, if for nothing more than my own reference as an "I want it when I can buy it" list:

Christmas Wish List
1) New/Refurbished Laptop, with the latest Microsoft Office
2) "A Guide to Writing Kanji & Kana Book 2" by Wolfgang Hadamitzky & Mark Spahn, 1992 Edition
3) "The Book of Runes" by Ralph H. Blum, Any Edition
4) Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monster Complete Box Set 2
5) Winter Haven LARP Season Pass
6) Final Haven LARP Season Pass, should one exist
7) Fan fiction or art of any of my favorite pairings
8) Well wishes and good cheer
9) No Christmas dinner cooking and cleaning
10) Vol. 3 & 4 of the "Batman: No Man's Land" graphic novels. (Having 1,2, & 5 only chafes my inner collector.)
