As far as I can tell, it is simply a re-release by a different company. However, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this might spark some renewed interest in the anime and bring in some new fans and new fanfiction.

So unexpected. I don't know what it is, new anime is the obvious answer, but is it really popular enough to warrant a second anime? I wouldn't have thought so... but still, I'm dying to know what it is.

An anime re-boot does seem to be most likely, though I'd never thought that the series was popular or well-known enough to get one. I really hope that they'll stick closer to the manga this time (and thus make it longer than 13 episodes).

Or maybe it'll be a video game, or a stage production? *just throwing ideas out there*

Whatever it is, hopefully it'll lead to the manga being released more frequently than a dozen pages every 3 months...

My book should be here in a day or two, so I'll take a look and see if it gives us any more info!

Guh, it would be too good to be true, but I'd kill for a second season of the anime . . .

I was hoping that there would be more information in the book, but sadly no. All it says is this:

"You won't be able to take your eyes off of the shinigami in the beautiful and violent battle!
Volumes 1-12 of Yami no Matsuei are now on sale!
And a big project is starting in 2015!
Five years have passed, will that usual "thing" finally be released!?
Look forward to more information in the upcoming issues of Za Hana to Yume!!"

Since it specifically says 5 years have passed though . . . didn't volume 12 come out about 5 years ago or so? I'm guessing the big project is collecting all of the recent releases of Za Hana to Yume into book #13.
