Home on the Range

Since I completely forgot what I bought in Korea when my parents left since they took a bunch of stuff with them, I decided to make an inventory of all the crap I'm bringing home. I'm leaving in less than a month, so I thought it'd be a good idea to start packing now.

Anyway, took some pictures with my piece of crap digital camera (I will NEVER buy ( Read more... )

It's even worse in writing.

Koreans are super proud of their alphabet, but whenever I see it I keep thinking that half of it looks like hiragana or katakana. X_X

Heh, you'll have a lot to pack up. Maybe get a box and ship it?

I think your brain just goes "I know this" and tells you what it is, without bothering to mention what alphabet. I think that's nice: you're clearly learning it very well if you don't even need to think about what the language is to read it. ^^

I always bring too much stuff whenever I travel. I can't help it. T_T

I'm not sure about cameras but I remember Pentax having good DSLR cameras. ^^

You know, I never realised the similarities between the two alphabets except the obvious 's' looking the same as the kanji. xD Probably because I normally don't see hangul by themselves. :P

Most of my extended family and friends have Canons and all of them have been happy, so that's why I'm considering a Canon.

I noticed it mostly when I was learning Hangul and we had to read them one symbol at a time. It's really noticeable then.

Wow manga and manwha? They even have similar sounds.

I've heard from my friends that Canon is good at taking a picture of person and Nikon is good at both landscape/person pictures. But to me I think Canon is enough because Nikon is quite expensive. X_x

There are a lot of Korean words that sound similiar to Japanese words

Japanese = Korean
kibun = kibum (feeling, spirit)
ningen = ingun (human)
jikan = shigan (time)
bun = p/bun (minut)
isha = uisa

and etc. It makes learning Korean easier, though sometimes it can get a bit confusing.
