For the last few years, when he still lived at home, Maru dressed the Christmas tree alone. His mother was usually at work; father did whatever fathers do on Christmas mornings, and his brother preferred computer games or sleeping in to helping out. Of course, when properly coaxed the little brat would whine but help. Most of the time however it was Mar alone doing all the work.
So in a way it was nice having his lover help him. Even if it involved putting up with King attempting to decorate him as well. Seriously, the kitten didn’t really think he looked good with a ribbon around his neck. A very pink ribbon around his neck. Though when he noticed the tiger trying to wrap the silky material around his wrist he had to swat the naughty hands away or they wouldn’t get to finish decorating the tree anytime soon.
King’s only reaction to that were a naughty smirk and a glint in his eye that promised kinky times later on.
Mar put the last of the decoration on the tree and took a few steps back to admire their work. The colorful tree looked really nice.
Lean arms wrapped around his middle and he felt King leaning his chin on his shoulder.
“Looks good.” The tiger said and kissed Maru’s cheek.
The claret head put his hands on the ones holding him and leaned into the older man’s warmth.
“Yeah, we work well as a team.”
“Indeed.” King pecked his cheek again and nuzzled it with his nose. “Look up.”
Mar didn’t really have to look up to know what was there above them. He couldn’t help but chuckle. Mistletoe, how cheesy.
“So that was what you were up to when I was dressing the back of the tree. Silly wildcat.”
Mar felt the man grin.
“Yeah, yeah. So, my kiss?”
Maru laughed and turned his face at the same time placing his hand on King’s cheek.
“Yessir!~” And he leaned in. Christmas time really was the best.

It was already bright outside when Maru stirred awake, opening his eyes to half-mast slowly wary of the sharp winter sun that might have slipped through the blinds. Luck was on his side as no sunlight reached his eyes and he had all the time in the world for his eyes to adjust. He stretched himself as well as he could with an arm draped over his waist and rolled to the side to see his lover still sleeping peacefully. What a rare sight it was. Usually it was King who woke up first if only to molest the kitten awake.
Smiling softly Mar reached out with his hand to brush a few stray strands away from his lover’s handsome face. His fingers lingered and he brushed King’s cheek barely touching the warm skin. Careful not to wake the man up just yet the claret head leaned in and planted the briefest of kisses on his lips before attempting to slip out of bed.
Seeing as it was Christmas morning he was eager to check what presents there were waiting for him beneath the Christmas tree.
He was one foot out of bed when he felt himself being pulled back in under the covers and into strong arms.
“Morning little Kitty.” King murmured against his shoulder before kissing it. “Where are you going?”
“I wanted to see what you got me this year.” The kitten answered and turned in the embrace to get his morning kiss.
“Curious, eh?” The older male grinned when their mouths broke apart. His hands slipped lower on Mar’s back and the kitten wasn’t really surprised when he felt them groping his rear. Typical King. “Am I not enough of a present?”
“Of course not.” Maru teased and laughed when the tiger pinched his ass.
“What a naughty boy you are. Santa should really reconsider giving you anything.” King muttered as he rolled them over so he was now hovering over the slighter feline. The tiger dove in and nipped at where Mar’s jaw met his neck making the claret head groan.
“Of the two of us you’re the bad boy, Tiger.” He said tightening his arms around his lover’s waist.
“Yeah, but I never claimed to be good. ‘Sides, you love me bad.” King whispered the line into Maru’s ear, his voice dark and dripping.
Mar couldn’t even remember why he wanted to leave the bed in the first place.
