"Honey, I'm home.~" King called from the hall as he striped off his shoes and hung the jacket on the rack. "Sorry I'm late, but I stumbled into a friend on my way home and we ate lunch together." He continued as he entered the living-room where Mar was sitting in his armchair reading a book.

"It's okay." The little feline responded as he finished off the page and marked the chapter with a card before closing the book. "Had fun?"

"Yup. Though not as much as I have with you.~" King said with a smirk.

"Such a sweet-talker." Maru laughed to what King's smirk only grew.

If he was fast enough he'd manage a kiss before the kitten noticed anything. After all, for a cat Mar had a really lousy sense of smell.

He was only an inch from his goal when Maru's nose wrinkled and he pushed King's face away leaning as far back as he could at the same time.

"No kisses for you, garlic-breath. Go away."

"Aw, c'mon. What are ya? A vampire? A little kiss won't kill ya, Count Mar-cula." He said as he caught his kitten's wrist and tried to strike again.

"Piss off." The claret head evaded again.

King could never understand how come the little feline hated garlic so much without really being a vampire. His little lover kept away from everything that contained it, unless the amount was so little he couldn't taste it at all.

What mattered the most now though was that he'd refuse to give the tiger a kiss at least till he'd brush his teeth three times in a row and even then he'd squint his eyes suspiciously.

But that didn't mean King wouldn't try to get a kiss anyways. He loved challenges after all.

"Don't you love me, Kitten?" He asked faking a whining voice while grinning inwardly.

The kitten had no where to run to, trapped in his armchair. King held onto his wrists with his hands pushing them out of the way as Mar thrashed his head from one side to the other escaping his lips.

In a desperate call for help the kitten used his legs, trying to beat King off with his feet planted on King's stomach. In retaliation to that the tiger released his breath right into his face.

"Eeew! You bastard!" The kitten complained making a disgusted face and trying not to breathe.

Using that as a distraction King wriggled until he slipped in between Mar's legs and pinning his little lover in place.

"I win, my cute little vampire." He managed through a grin before he struck and silenced Maru's complaints with a kiss.
