Character Name and Series/Original Character: Hitsugaya Toushirou/Bleach
Name: Hitsugaya Toushirou (surname, given)
Race/Ethnicity: Fey (lion)/Japanese
Age: Young for a fey, but still pretty old.
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Mostly asexual with no real interest, although if it were to happen, gender probably doesn't matter.

Appearance: We'll go with true form, first. Hitsugaya's true form is that of a white lion, looking like an adolescent with a still-short mane that spikes all over the place. He seems a lot smaller then normal teenage lions, but he makes up for that with his presence. His eyes are an icy, turquoise blue coloration, always frigid and calculating even in this form. A single part of his mane sticks out from the rest of his face, sort of like a bang on his left side.

His glamour form is 5', and he doesn't really look like much with very little weight to him at all. This is mostly deception, since he's actually just... compacted strength. It's possible he could grow taller, since he's still 'young' in fey terms. He's not really too pale, with that shocking white mane turned into his hair. It spikes up, usually, and has that bang hanging out still.

Since he's of the Soul Society ranks, and is a captain, he can be seen wearing the captain's uniforn of white and black on some occasions. He likes function over fashion, things that let him move and also look presentable usually end up being in his wardrobe. Jeans, polo shirts, normal slacks, suits, t-shirts, tennis shoes, boots. The fashion that is popular amongst the aristrocrats does not show up very often on him, either.

Personality
This "boy" does not act like the age he looks. Things he thinks are childish (ie; candy, sugar in general, cute things, etc) he does not take aprt in. He acts like an adult, and even then like a cranky one who probably needs to get laid or take a vacation. Serious, bitter, grouchy, cold, and a bit of a workaholic, Hitsugaya is not one to take those vacations. Ever.

His sense of humor is slightly sarcastic and snarky, and barely ever shows through. Rarely does he smile, and even if he does it's more of a smirk rather then an actual smile. If he truly smiles, you should be sure that it's the apocolypse (or someone's gotten him drunk off his ass, though sometimes it might seem he is smiling).

Being a prodigy of Soul Society, Hitsugaya is smart and quick thinking, mind always processing what's going on. Very rarely is this not the case. He is not a procrastinator, ever, and has a very large "all work and no play" concept to him. Generally he has a calm demeanor, calculating and cool without much interest in what others are doing. He has a great intolerance of stupidity however, snapping or getting tempermental about it. This also happens when people call him by anything but 'Hitsugaya.' (Toushirou gets an immediate deathglare, Shirou-chan gets threats of death, albeit not immediate.) His dedication to what he cares about is immense, and usually could get him in trouble.

Despite all this, his ideals are somewhat child-like still, as he is indeed young.

Abilities/Weaponry:
As a fey, Hitsugaya has abilities. Glamour of course counts into this, but we've already got it understood that glamour just makes him look human. He can let some aspects of his true form through, like ears or tail and whatnot, but he'd never do it willingly.

Although a lion fey, Hitsugaya has elemental abilities. His element, to match with everything else about him, is ice. In his true form, Hitsugaya can coat his entire body with ice by condensing and freezing the moisture around him. Once this is complete, Hitsugaya doesn't much resemble a lion anymore, so much as a nearly Chinese-like dragon. With this he can very partially control the weather (if only to drop the temperature enough to sustain this form, as well as to cause more moisture in the air to use) as well as "breathe ice," something akin to breathing fire.

To focus these abilities in his human form, he has a sword much like a normal katana (minus the four-pointed star guard) that will create a form similar to that of the dragon-like appearance, except it will not be attached to Hitsugaya himself. Instead of freezing the moisture in the air around himself, this time he condenses it into the form of the Chinese-dragon, except bigger. This can be called Hyourinmaru (氷輪丸, literally Ice Ring). Hitsugaya can control Hyourinmaru for a brief period of time, as well as the weather (to a much lesser degree then before) with something more of a goal to slam the dragon into his opponent to freeze them. To release Hyourinmaru, he must drop the temperature enough to condense the moisture in the air, and say "set upon the frozen heavens" (霜天に坐せ, sōten ni zase).

With these pointed out, he can lower the temperature to a certain point(never anything subzero or the like, but it's much like in those movies where there's ghosts and the temperature starts dropping). He can touch things and freeze them on contact (if they're not too hot). To be able to use a sword, Hitsugaya is well-trained in swordfighting, impressive considering his age. He's also fast on his feet, though this is not surprising for his size. Small spaces don't bother him, nor heights, so his size also helps in this.

Weaknesses:
Cold iron, obviously, causes a problem for him.

Fey or not, his stubborn will only keep him durable for so long. Continue to attack him, continue to make him bleed, and he'll die just as easily as a human might. His vitality might be better than a human's, but either way, this can only do so much for him.

Being tied in with the element of ice also causes him some troubles; if it gets too warm for his comfort, he'll start to get sick and rather sluggish, advancing into a fever if not cooled. Too hot, and he could probably die if exposed for too long. This goes the same for when he needs to drop the temperature to attack with ice. If he can't get it to the certain point he needs it, then he can't use these abilities properly.

There needs to be enough moisture in the air for him to actually freeze. Without moisture, it's difficult to make the ice that he uses. Dry air does him no good at all, humid probably being the best despite the heat that might cause it.

Hitsugaya is actually afraid of fire. While ice may extinguish fire sometimes, it melts ice and makes him rather paranoid even if he might not show it.

Still growing up, he's actually arrogant and mildly on the naive side, simply because of his occasionally apparent child-like ideals. He lacks common sense because of his intelligence as well; smart he might be, but he'll leap head-first into something without really giving it a second thought. His temper will also come into effect in many, many occasions, tied in with this as well as a stubborn that he'll likely never be rid of even when he grows up.

Being his size also has its disadvantages in a fight. Agaisnt bigger and stronger opponents, he can easily be taken down if he isn't careful and uses his brain.

As a lion, Hitsugaya of course has the whole "pride" outlook. However, in his true form, he does not concentrate strongly on his ties to his "Soul Society pride," more so towards the ones that are outside of this, or at least those closer to him then they are. Few fall into this grouping, but those few are the ones he looks out for the most, and these are the ones he lacks common sense for. As well as gaining his temper. Threaten someone or something he holds close to him, and there's problems.

History: ICly, non-prose.
"... I'm busy with my work, can't this wait?"

... Sigh. "Fine.

"It started out when I was 'born.' I'm a fey, so I didn't have any parents. I grew up in Soul Society, I was sort of a brat when I was a cub. But I got better, trained, and became the Tenth Divison captain. They say I'm the youngest, a prodigy, but most people don't take me seriously. That's fine by me, really. More advantages in the future.

"... what's with that weird face? ... Oh. The noise above us? That's just ... someone I met along the way here. Regretably I owe him for something, so I let him roost in the attic. He isn't annoying, usually, so whatever.

"Why am I in Italy? I'm following a lead on someone that must be rid of. That is all, really. I'm here because of work, simple as that. I bought the house because I figured it would be better to just actually live here while doing it. People complained about it being haunted for a while, so it was pretty cheap."

Brow raise.

"What? Another white-haired guy in the house? ... Oh, tch. You're talking about Ukitake. He's harmless, he's the ghost that lives here. He haunts this Go board that was left behind, and so this is technically his house as well. I just wish he'd stop giving me candy and calling me 'Shirou-chan.'"

Twitch.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do, and with you talking, I can't get it done."
