My levels of shipping Abbie & Ichabod have reached the clutching my face and screaming at the screen stage...
AAAAHHHHHH HOW CUTE ARE THEY?!
Ahem.
So, I thought we'd reached MAXIMUM FLIRT with the driving scene, only for the episode to end with Abbie wiping cappuccino froth from Ichabod's tache as if they'd been married for 20 years (and were still totally hot for each other.) And Tom Mison went from smiley to heart-breaking in an instant with "...in case something happened to you." Also, I have to quote this whole bit, because it actually made me make some kind of distressing whimpering sound:
Hear me, Grace Abigail Mills. It is not our fate for one of us to bury the other. We shall be victorious, or defeated, together.
All this with what Genevieve Valentine calls his Romantic Lead Face turned up to eleventy.
NOW KISS.
The rest of the episode was fine... Hawley continues to be pretty flat and irritating. But I like that Abbie & Ichabod beat the monster, and the pair of them got to briefly sit and drink coffee and be happy together.
I do continue to wonder what the show runners think they're doing with Katrina. I admit I'm slightly biased as an Ichabbie shipper (although I don't want them to actually get together on the show, that's what fandom's for), but the way to give her character depth is not to have her stuck off-screen with the Horseman while Ichabod & Abbie are running around having this incredibly intense relationship. Like, I really dislike disliking female characters! (Wow, that was a lot of 'likes') But Katrina is just so ...nothing-y.
I went to Berlin this weekend just gone, after wanting to travel there for years, and I really enjoyed it! Also, if anyone is having a hard time choosing a holiday flat to rent on Air BnB, I recommend picking the one with the most psychedelic wallpaper, because it worked well for us.
