Oops.

It's been pointed out to me that I've been seriously absent from ... everywhere. I'm fine, as is all my family. I'm just a lazy bitch and let things get away from me. I've been working on my next story, reading a really good 'real' book and knitting on this fabulous shawl. So ... ooops. And sorry.

I just feel bad that I might have made someone worry. I know how I feel when someone I'm in on-line touch with disappears.

Nothing wrong with knitting -- kept me away from junk food snacking last winter whilst sort-of watching television... and the prayer shawl ministry benefitted hugely. What colors are you working with?

I'm knitting a Shetland Hap in natural, navy, dk grey, slate and white. It's going to be rather large as I intend to use it three ways.

What ministry do you knit for?

The church I work for has a Prayer Shawl Ministry -- basically, a bunch of us knit (or crochet) shawls in a variety of shapes, stiches and colors, which are then given as comfort to members, friends of members, etc., who have been ill, experienced a loss, going through rough times, had a baby --- and the chaplain at one of the local hospitals has asked if we have any to spare! Which we do, at the moment, because our Music Director is quick with her crochet hook.

Right now, I'm working on a Slip-Stich pattern in Teal and light Green; about half done.

A couple of years ago I made a bunch of hats, scarves, and handwarmers for the local Homeless Teen Drop-In Shelter.

Wow. You did good.

I knit for the local cancer center, Christmas at Sea and Socks For Soldiers. I just knit what I'm in the mood for then figure out who to send it to.
