I started knitting in 1962. My Gran shared her old patterns with me so the first thing I knitted was a simple cap, mitten and scarf set. I've knitted sweaters since I was 16 and have knitted a Hap a year since.
I think the frustration of knowing the next step and not having it, not only waiting on others to catch up, is what really spoils it for me.
I can knit a Hap shawl in six weeks, a pair of socks in a week, if I need to. I knit slowly (for me) when I'm just occupying my hands, but if something needs done now, I'm fairly fast.
Don't worry about rambling, I'm a rambling woman too. *G*
My attention span is rather short when reading. I keep thinking, 'If I finish this part now, I'll have a [object] in a week.' But it's really been ruined by reading serial chaptered fanfiction.
I wish you a wonderful weekend full of things you like.
