Thanks, Mandeep. This is my last not-thirty. Strange time, no? How did you like being this age?

I used to think of my sister as a slow-starter, but she was already married and had a child by the time she was my age. Weird to think about--those things are not in my immediate future at all.

I hope I'm getting wiser but can't tell.

Happy same-birth-day. I hated being almost 30. And I love being in my thirties. It seems more settled somehow, and although certain avenues or possibilities are no longer interesting to me, I like the avenues and possibilities I do have. So narrower interests but happier in that narrowness.

i'm almost 32 and i feel exactly the same as i did when i was in my mid to late 20's except i impart my own life experience in livejournal comments more often.
