Apparently the universe has decided to make this week as weird as possible which is saying a lot since transplanting one's life to a foreign country inherently carries a bunch of weirdness with it

In Japan, only the teacher's room (the single communal room, people don't get individual offices) is ever heated, and that's by two or three big kerosene heaters they have to carry in every winter. It's usually quite comfortable in there throughout the whole day, but each classroom is heated..well...by the students just being in there. And sunlight, I guess...?
The rooms still retain enough heat to be warmer than the hallways, but I just feel sorry for the kids :(
Dood! How did I forget to tell you about DVD bangs?!?! They are fabulous. But not just for sex. A very conservative Korean friend of mine told me that it was perfectly acceptable to go with friends, even of the opposite sex (gasp!)
Most of the time there is a couch, but it is quite bed like. I love going, it is a good way to chill in the evening :)
