A McCain/Palin volunteer in Pittsburgh claimed to have been viciously attacked by a black man because of her McCain/Palin bumper sticker.

..and now it seems that she made it up.

I blame mental illness rather than anything particular that the McCain campaign planned. Of course, one can argue what particularly drove her insane :) but that would be un-PC.
