Seeking Netbook recommendations

I'm looking semi-passively at Netbooks, and I'd love to hear any actual experience people have with them. I have an eeepc 701, and I'm happy with the concept and so-so on the execution -- the actual keyboard turns out to be too small for the uses I want for it. Our eee also had a similar battery drain problem. It seems like a power controller issue, which eee will fix, if you're willing to spend an hour or so working through the tech call center scripts to get a RMA number. Google-ing the problem may get you the right answers to expedite the process.

Lifehacker has a bunch of reviews and recommendations, including ones that you can mod to run OS X (yeah, I know you want Linux)
