If you have been to a wedding with Band and/or dj, please help, desperate bride here
So, like I need anymore help in the budget area. I was all set to let go of my band hopes and just get a great DJ. So, I still because I am researcher and glutten for punishment contacted a few bands just to see costs. Okay, crazy right. I wanted a cost comparison. I orginally wanted at reggae band which is about 2k-4k, not band and I would also have a DJ, which I figured I could get for $500. Well, now I interested in bands. I heard this great band ($8k band) and now wondering whether its worth the costs. Some background on me, I was totally anti-band because I want to hear the song like it is, no one else's version. However, I realize that not all bands are like that. They can sing really well, and I think their presence really makes the party happen. This is all thought. All the weddings I have been too have been Dj'd so I wanted to know folks thoughts on bands and what pros and cons are vs a dj. I know price and song variety. If a DJ and band played the same song, is there a different feel.
