Well, I bawled like crazy last night, but I feel better today especially since Sarah and I talked about Doggie Heaven. I feel somewhat comforted by this since it is certain that Spike will go there (not right now, but when it is time of course). And as of right now he still is his same Spikey-self and things are good. I'm just going to give him

My holistic doctor is really into promoting Omega 3 fatty acids for a lot of different stuff, including slowing down the spreading of malignant tumors. This can be found in dog food made with salmon. Plus, most beef, including dog food, is saturated with hormones used by the industry to promote growth, and those same harmones cause cancer cells to proliferate rapidly. Also the antibiotics in chicken and beef cause resistance to antibiotics used for infections and in turn screws up the immune system of people and animals. Anyway, I'm interested in this sort of stuff so I thought I might mention it. This website trys to sell yous stuff but it also has good information in it and most of it is crap you can just get at a grocery store. I kinda think buying all that stuff for a dog is pointless if you can change it's diet and maybe give him doggie vitamins or something like that

Thanks Marie, I really appreciate the advice. I will definitely check some stuff out. If I can help Spike live for a few more years and have him not be in pain I'm all for it. It's crazy to think that we think we're giving our pets "good" dog food, and that it actually contains stuff that can be very harmful to them. I guess, the same can go for what people eat. Thanks again. I've been really sad about my Spike, and it's nice to know that I can at least try to do something.
