Rants and something else

I have ten coffee cups! Oops! For a poor student who is current sharing a 20 square meters room with other three girls, it is a lot!
And give me another centiare to decorate, I'll have more cups! (E.g. "Kiss the Librarian", anybody?)

There's a new term called "春运" in Chinese. 春 stands for 春节, the Spring Festival or the Chinese New Year. 运 stands for 运输, traffic, transportation, especially the railway transport. So 春运 means the railway rush before the Chinese New Year.
Why made a word for it? Well, in China, traditionally everyone went home for the Spring Festival, students, clerks, labourers... maybe not soldiers, whatever. It's kinda like Chrismas in Western countries. Take the Chrismas tree out, turn the presents to Children's New Year money, and multiply the "must be home" factor by ten, you'll have a good Spring Festival in your hands.
So, everybody went home. Not even a tenth of them have cars. And planes are expensive and dangerous... they fall all the time! (Not only in China mind you) Therefore, big rush in the railway front. Remember, China has a population of 1,200,000,000, and I heard that it's 1,400,000,000 by now...Ohhh so many zeroes... Not to mention normally the Spring Festival takes place in January or February, and the Winter vacation for students begins ten or twelve days before it.
So, long queue in front of the ticket office, which I spent more than one hour standing in. And when I got to my turn, I was told that tickets to my hometown were all sold up.
I wanna go home...
