I've been too lazy for a while, it seems it's time to do some rec. I picked these two because they were updated today, hopefully tomorrow I'll have something else to rec!
Title: Heir to the Ring
Author: Kenya Starflight
Status: WIP
Fandom: Star Wars & The Unicorn Ring Crossover
Short Intro:
A General fic, which means no pairing more than friendships. For Star Wars, it's set after ROTJ and mainly about Vader and Luke. For The Unicorn Ring, well I don't know, I haven't even heard of it!
This is a journey of seven unlikely partners finding themselves in a big big world.
The Reason of Recommend:
Kenya Starflight wrote great, delicious Star Wars crossovers, such as her Xanth-SW crossover Centaur of Attention, HP-SW crossover The Stag and the Dragon, and the most famous Real Life-SW crossover Eye of the Storm series.
And she likes Darth Vader.
Not the post-ROTS-pre-ANH-Evil-Vader, mind you. Not the innocent-love-struck-teenage-angsty-Anakin, either. No, she likes the middle-aged-hurt-wary-fatherly-but-no-clue-what-to-do-Vader, who is also my favorite SW character.
Her writing is good, sometimes a little too crazy, which is endearing. She weaves the incidents tightly into the plot without risking OOC, and miraculously makes no conflict between two foreign fandoms.
For Heir to the Ring, she gave one of the craziest explanation of Anakin's birth, and fit it seamlessly into another fandom (or vice versa). She inducted four original characters, revived Boba Fett, and stuck them right into the redemption path of Skywalker boys. This story is brilliant. I should know, I don't know the first thing about The Unicorn Ring and I'm enjoying it.

Author: Gevaisa
Status: WIP
Fandom: Phantom of the Opera & X-men Crossover
Short Intro:
The author declared this story was inspired by Neil Gaiman's wonderful Marvel 1602. She took the X-men to Paris Opera in 1888, with a Phantom haunting around.
The pairing is Erik/Kitty, yes, X-men Kitty. You can forget Christine and Raoul because they don't exist in this fic.
Oh, and Erik is a mutant.
The Reason of Recommend:
Another crazy crossover, I know, I really didn't expect that they were both updated today.
Gevaisa writes great POTO fics. You really should read her pure POTO Erik/OW fic If Music Be The Food Of Love, but that's another story...
It seems Gevaisa doesn't like Christine, but she can understand that Christine is just a weak-minded chorus girl, who tends to faint when facing an incident - honestly, what can you expect from a Gothic novel? But while it's frustrating, it's not a crime (except to the Phan-girls, maybe? XD). So she writes strong, realistic and tough women like Anne in If Music Be The Food Of Love, and of course, our beloved heroine, Katherine "Kitty" Pryde. But she doesn't bash Christine unnecessarily.
So, if you think that Erik won't end up mad if he had a better treatment than canon, read Gevaisa's fic. If you also want to see what the X-men can do in 1888, read this very fic. It is very realistic, if this word can be used to describe an X-men/POTO crossover fic in 1888. And the interaction between Erik and Sir Erich "Magneto" will be well-worth your time.
