WTF?

I've been receiving strange LJ-comments for a while. For "strange" I mean anonymous comments commented on the same entry and said nothing except "good job admin, keep it up". I mean, I'm thankful that somebody read my entry and commented and it's positive, but ALL for them anonymous and about two per day? And sometimes with a headline of "Paris

I have seen this kind of thing before, and I believe that it is the work of a spambot, a small piece of software that lurks in the gaps between nodes of the Internet and latches on to certain text strings that it's been programmed to sniff out from the bitstream.. many of these bots are set to pick up sexual/pornographic traffic, so I would suspect that this one has glommed on to the exchanges about "Great Tits".

If I were you, I would immediately contact LiveJournal technical support and get them to filter out this junk and block it. Though it may appear harmless nonsense, in fact it's not harmless at all: it is costing money because it clogs up storage and bandwidth, slows things down, wastes people's time... also it looks deeply uncool and unaesthetic.
