Hey - what'd you do in Ha'erbin? I lived there from 2002-3, and keep meaning to go back to visit.

Oh, my home is Jiamusi, but in 2001 my mother went to Ha'erbin for work. Now we've bought an apartment there, so Ha'erbin has became a second home.

Ah, cool. I never made it to Jiamusi - actually, when I was living in Ha'erbin, the only nearby town I managed to visit was Acheng.
It's a shame - I wanted to see more of the northeast. Nowadays, I'm back in the States, so all I can hear around me is Cantonese, and nowadays Fujianese. Hearing Dongbeihua would be a blessed relief.
