On our way to Katy today, I was struck by the beauty of the interchange between I-10 and the Sam Houston Beltway. It's bizarre to call roadways beautiful, but the curves weave around and through each other in magestic sweeps, the supports are proportional and decorated with a 5-pointed star... We're still learning about the Revolutionary War. The kids love it. I thought we'd be at WWI, or possibly sidetracked by Mexican, Texan, and Tejano history, by this time. Nope.
