Did anyone else know that there is a channel that shows Perfect Strangers? Apparently, it's called ion and seems to show religious programming and old sitcoms. The ads so far have been for a Christian singles hotline (called Equally Yoked, which sounds kind of kinky to me), a way to kill rats that featured a little girl about to reach into a pile ( Read more... )

That rent a pet company sounds like a recipe for an animal cruelty disaster. Seriously- that's really terrible. What's next? FlexBabiez?

Ahhh... Balkie ... we got Perfect Strangers down here in Oz ... I think my favourite quote of all times is "But I can fence with both hands, because I'm AMPHIBIOUS!"

Always worth a chuckle.

Nice Fair/Al pics. I'm kind of bummed that I didn't get to see Al on his tour this time around. Hopefully we'll get to do that the next time.

Also, I like the "consumable weaponry" tag. Hopefully you get more chances to use it in the future.

Every time I look through Sky Mall magazine I try to find the most ridiculous thing for sale. Jon for the win! I don't think the mashmallow gun can be topped.

they're always used to be vicious marshmallow throwing fights in the senior section of the student crowd at nd games during halftime. if someone snuck one of those babies in, there'd be a whole nother level of precision. it would actually be pretty cool to see a marshmallow gun fight, kind of like a paintball fight, but with less pain and more sugar.

i was a little underwhelmed with the museum of science and industry when i went there two years ago. all the science was geared at elementary schools, and half the exhibits were developed by big corporations. about the only cool thing i saw there was the completely automatized toy making exhibit, and the gigantic german u-boat. well and the gigantic model train set. i was expecting something a little more informative from the whole museum than 'this is how we make toys' exhibit, or 'this is how chickens' hatch display.
