I didn't mind washing diapers at all, although some people might have an aversion to swishing diapers in a toilet to get poop out of them. In the summer time, I let the boys run around in just the cloth diapers with no rubber pants over them - so they could 'breathe'. It was apparent when they peed, but they stayed cooler and didn't get the prickly heat they got around the legbands and waistbands that disposables gave them.
It's your call... but disposables do get very pricey as the child gets bigger.
