My baby boy looks so much older! Hubby took him to get his hair cut while I was getting my trimmed, then they came over to where I was ( me at beauty shop them at barbershop)...and what a shock...he has very lil on top and bald all around...

Are you glad to leave Alaska or would you have rather stayed? We've beent thinking about trying for Alaska for our next PCS...but it seems such a dramatic difference.

ok, did the same with yours.
As for leaving AK, yes and no. It is a bittersweet thing. We only been up here for a year and still haven't done all that we wanted to do. Good thing is that we will soon be in our own home, and a very good chance for Ft. Polk being our last move (hubby only has 3 and half years til retirement). Being that you love the outdoors, and if you think you can handle the cold, snow and many months of darkness, you would be fine. So much to do here...I will miss it.

Gosh! It's so beautiful there. My brother in law was stationed there and when he speaks of it he is still in awe of his life there. Sadly, we never live near them so I never get to ask him much about his life there...I just know that both he and his wife miss it dreadfully.
