Summary: It's Ryeowook birthday, and no one seems to remember... or do they?
Note: So it's Ryeowook oppa's birthday, and of course I just had to be random and write something LOL :P enjoy! (Spots to anyone who wants one)

21 June began as a slow and dreary day for Ryeowook. It shouldn't be like this, the eternal maknae thought to himself, as he sat alone in his room. It was his birthday, and instead of receiving birthday greetings from the members, he'd woken up to find the dorm empty. Kyuhyun and Sungmin were at musical rehearsal, Donghae and Siwon were apparently still in Taiwan filming Skip Beat, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk and Shindong were filming for Strong Heart that day, Yesung had Immortal Song 2, and Heechul was god knows where, as usual.
By noon Ryeowook was bored out of his mind and decided to give Henry a call. Henry's phone was out of range, however, and that was when Ryeowook remembered that Henry was on a flight back to Canada to visit his family. Ryeowook then tried calling Zhou Mi, only to have Zhou Mi tell him that he was out shopping. He tried calling Han Geng next, but Geng couldn't chat for long, as he was busy promoting his movie Da Wu Sheng. A quick call to Kangin went unanswered as Ryeowook was directed to Kangin's voicemail and Kangin's prerecorded message informed him that his hyung was currently out on the field and would not be able to take his call. Ryeowook didn't feel like leaving a message after the beep tone, so he just hung up the phone.
Sighing, Ryeowook flopped on his bed with a manuscipt in hand, and began looking over some of his compositions. He didn't even bother trying to call Kibum, knowing that he was mostly uncontactable as he was busy with his schedule.
For the rest of the afternoon, Ryeowook busied himself with music and composing. At around 6pm he received a call from Shindong. Thinking that his hyung was calling to wish him a happy birthday, he excitedly answered the phone.
"Hi hyung" Ryeowook greeted.
"Wookie ah! Is dinner ready? I'm starving!" Shindong whined. It was a good thing that they weren't talking face-to-face because Ryeowook could swear that his face fell all the way to the ground right at that moment.
"Don't worry hyung, I'll get food ready by the time you're back. Where are you?" he asked, trying to hide the disappointment in his voice.
"We've just finished recording Strong Heart, we'll be back at the dorm soon. See you soon Wookie ah" came Shindong's response.
"Alright hyung, see you soon" Ryeowook said, before hanging up. Sighing, he dragged himself to the kitchen and opened the fridge, only to realise that it was empty. There was nothing in the cupboards either, which was rather odd because they usually always had food around the dorm, in case the members got hungry after a late night practice. They had all been busy lately though, and Ryeowook figured that nobody had remembered to restock their dorm. He had forgotten himself. Hoping that there was food in the lower dorm, he gave Sungmin a call. Ryeowook had no wish to deal with an angry Shindong with an empty stomach. Thankfully, Sungmin had just arrived home and said he'd bring up some groceries.
About fifteen minutes later, Ryeowook heard a knock on the door.
"Ryeowook ah, open the door" Sungmin called. When the door was opened, Ryeowook was greeted by a huge cake with two large candles and five small ones surrounding it, reflecting his Korean age.
All the Super Junior members were standing there singing "Saengil Chuka Hamnida", with the exception of Kyuhyun and Yesung, whom Ryeowook was told were still busy with their schedules for the day. Even Siwon, Donghae and Henry were there, which surprised Ryeowook greatly.
"Thanks everyone" he smiled. It had been extremely unexpected. There was more to come, though. After blowing out the candles and making a wish, the members led Ryeowook to the lower dorm, informing him that dinner was already prepared there. When they arrived at the lower dorm, however, Ryeowook was greeted by melodious singing. Apparently Kyuhyun and Yesung had rehearsed a song for Ryeowook's birthday.
"Happy birthday, Ryeowook ah" they said after the song had ended.
"But how did you do this... everyone was busy with schedules today..." Ryeowook was shocked. The members then began to tell Ryeowook about what really had happened that day.
Donghae and Siwon had in fact returne.d from Taiwan the night before, but the members had kept it a secret from Ryeowook in order to give him a surprise. Donghae had bunked in with the other members in the lower dorm for the night, while Siwon had of course returned to his parents' home. Henry was in fact not flying back to Canada, but had flown to Korea from Taiwan to celebrate Ryeowook's birthday with all the members. In order not to make Ryeowook feel suspicious, all the members had pretended to have schedules the whole day. In fact, only Leeteuk, Eunhyuk and Shindong had schedules that day. The other members had been busy in the lower dorm preparing for Ryeowook's suprise birthday party. Sungmin and Zhou Mi had been in charge of preparing the food, Donghae, Henry and Heechul were in charge of decorating, Siwon had helped set the table for dinner, and Yesung and Kyuhyun of course practiced a duet for Ryeowook's birthday. Kangin and Kibum had been busy earlier in the day but had turned up in time for the birthday party. Kangin had to return to the army base later on.
Though Han Geng couldn't be with them, the members video called him from Korea. When Han Geng received the call and his face appeared on the computer screen, Ryeowook burst into tears. He had missed Han Geng hyung so much. Many of the other members also were teary-eyed. It had been a long time since most of them had spoken to the Chinese member.
The video call lasted for the longest time, and for those few hours, all the members of Super Junior were together again, for the first time in years. It felt like they had Han Geng physically there with them again, even if he was miles away in China.
Later that night, as Ryeowook lay in bed thinking about the day's events, he decided that this was perhaps the best birthday he'd ever had. It was a wonderful feeling to get to speak to Han Geng hyung again after more than a year. Another wonderful thing had happened that night as well. He smiled as he looked over at the photograph on his bedside table. It was a picture of Kyuhyun and him, taken on their first date. Ryeowook loved that photograph very much, and treated it like a treasure. Now he had a new treasure. Admiring the promise ring on his ring finger, he decided that, yes, he had indeed gotten the best birthday present ever.
