You can't see me, but I'm grinning from ear to ear. America/Belarus is one of my favorite rare pairs and you see so little fic, romantic or non-romantic, of them interacting! And there's even hints of one of my OTPs, Russia/America...I am very very happy.
This is adorable and I love how you're developing their characters. America is happy-go-lucky and open, but not an idiot. Belarus is reserved and she still loves her brother, but she's not always some complete psycho. Look, she's finding out first hand what probably attracted her brother!
Also, the nicknames. America probably has a nickname for everyone. In my head-canon, he's always called Belarus "doll face." And the ice cream...
Long comment is long. To make a long story short, I'm really loving this. I hope there's more soon!
Haha, I totally understand. Writing this fic got me into the pairing, but there's so little of it. D: And I can't help but throw some Russia/America in there, I love it to pieces. Ah, America/Belarus/Russia love triangle....
But thank you! I always worry about my characterization for Belarus just because she's a bit 2D in the series, so for a fic you have to deepen her character. I'm so glad people like it! Because really, you can't be psycho all the time.
And pff, oh hecks yes. America is a nickname machine. I.... I may have to slip in a "Doll Face," reference now... because he so would....
But yes, there will be more! Just depends on how quickly I write it. xD Glad you liked it, and thanks for the comment!!
This was a very entertaining read! I especially like how Belarus is slowly warming up to America's charm.; but then again, who can resist such a handsome face? AHAHA.
I find your descriptions and prose to be quite appealing, too. This has got to be my favorite line:
Belarus, despite her more aggressive tendencies, still had a certain lady-like quality to her. The way she folded her legs to the side; her head tilted up to watch the leaves rustle; her skirt settled around her like a barrier to keep other from getting too close.
It's doubly fascinating when America describes it from his point of view, in my opinion. I'll be definitely watching out for updates of this!

What trouble could they actually cause?
