Hurt

Phoenix screams and kicks as they handcuff him; cries as they read him his rights and take him away, “I didn’t kill him, I loved him!”

Blood

Edgeworth cursed under his breath and glared at the small cut on his finger and the blood on it - stupid paper- he looked around to see who had witnessed his moment of lost cool and just blinked when Phoenix stepped beside him, grabbed his hand gently and kissed it better.

Passion

"Edge-" Phoenix hushed as a thumb ran across his lips; he stopped thinking when Edgeworth started to move; his body arching up, his voice out of control; and when the finger ran over his mouth again, he moaned - Miles

Storm

Lighting struck and Phoenix squeaked and hugged his eight year old self as he cowered under the play set at the park; Edgeworth sat beside him - "be brave, Wright" - but when lighting struck again it was Edgeworth who jumped and rished to the boy beside him; unknowingly grabbing Phoenix’s hand and squeezing it tight.

Tired:

Edgeworth watched Phoenix collapse on his couch from exhaustion and quickly fall into a deep sleep; he sat beside him and gently picked his head and put it on his lap; his fingers trailed softly across the attorney’s face; up to his ears; tugging them gently until Phoenix pouted and mumbled his name. Inspiration.

Communication:

Edgeworth’s cell phone was a priceless possession; perfectly organized; every single number recorded on it classified to perfection; everybody knew not to mess with Edgeworth’s cell phone; so when the phone rang in the middle of court and started playing ‘La Cucaracha’, Edgeworth swore he was going to make Phoenix pay when he got home.

Trouble:

“We’re going to die, we’re going to die,” Phoenix grabbed the edge of his seat for dear life as Edgeworth turned around a corner 40 miles over the speed limit; he’d never seen Edgeworth so pissed before, “I’m sorry! I promise I will never look through your files again for as long as I live!”

Death:

The worst nightmare was the one where Edgeworth would come home and find the body of his lover on the floor; he would fall to his knees and run fingers through the soft hair, touch cold hands that would never hold him again; and when he woke in a sweat, scared and with his heart beating frantically the first thing he did was to make sure that Phoenix was still beside him, and that his skin was still warm.

Need:

Phoenix knew that Edgeworth would always be afraid of earthquakes; it was just something the other man couldn’t shake no matter how many years passed; but now it was different; now Edgeworth didn’t have to face it alone, because if Phoenix was around he made sure to hold Edgeworth close until it was safe again.

Kiss:

He spent the whole day unpacking, trying to find places to put his stuff; trying to make a place for himself in Edgeworth’s apartment; but it wasn’t working; he still felt like a stranger, and it was only when Edgeworth kissed him and asked what was for dinner that it really felt like home.

Cold

Phoenix hugged himself as he shivered; his hairs standing on end and his nails purple from the cold; when Edgeworth finally showed up at their meeting place he apologized and once he noticed the state of the other man he held him until the warmth had seeped into Phoenix’s skin and he wasn’t angry anymore.
