SECRETS The whole of Konohagakure knew they were "together" (as Ino had so kindly worded it); what they didn't know was that it was just sex; what Naruto didn't know was that Sasuke often had to remind himself of that, and Sasuke didn't know that Naruto could come from just the memory of ecstasy on Sasuke's face.

PHOTOGRAPH It was like looking through frosted glass; he saw everything in black and white, grays faded, almost dusty but still clear; watching memories of them walking through the streets, Sasuke cold and distant as Naruto babbled inanely, was like seeing their past through an old, battered photograph.
10. FALL Shikamaru was at the door; the news that Sasuke had left, had gone to Orochimaru, made him turn white, and with the blood rushing through his ears in the brief moment before rage roared to the front of his mind Naruto felt as though his world had just fallen apart.
39. BEAUTIFUL Red, red blood gushing forth, splinters of bone and fragments of torn tissue sharp against his arm as Naruto hung limp against him, the gaping wound in Naruto's chest was beautiful; so was the wet sound the boy's body made when he threw it away.

SWEET It was bittersweet, the feel of his arm across Naruto's shoulders; he loved the way he could feel Naruto shiver against him when he spoke, loved the warmth against his skin; but he hated the way it made him think of things other than destroying Itachi, so he pulled his sword out of its sheath across his back, and prepared to strike.
ALT-8. SEX A startled moan exploded from his lips, teeth clenched as he threw his head back, gasping for breath, and it was Sasuke in his mind as orgasm splattered across his vision in flashes of red and gold.

LOST In the fight against Haku, Sasuke found himself moving without thought to protect Naruto; in the fight against Gaara, he found himself to weak to fight further, and watched in amazement as Naruto beat Gaara into the ground; in the fight on the rooftop, his chidori punched straight through the front of the water tank, but Naruto's rasengan blew out the entire back of the tank ; now, though he is the one walking away, Sasuke can't help but feel that Naruto had won in the Valley of the End and he had lost.
