I need new glasses. And, because I've failed to shave my head, grow a goatee or lose 30 pounds, these glasses are likely to be the major fashion statement I make for the next, oh, three years or so ( Read more... )

Woot! New glasses= great idea. Go you!!

I like the first pair, the last pair, and the Dolce&Gabbana ones third from the bottom. But I'd have to see them on you to really evaluate from there.

([brutal] And any of them would be good if they would get you into a new pair. [/brutal])

I know nothing about fashion (as you are no doubt aware), but I support anything that will make you look more like Ben Franklin on a daily basis.

Also, do we get to see the glasses you and Kass thought were good? If you two both like them, that would seem a good start to me..

I say it's not just hard to judge without seeing them on you, it's impossible. There are lots of glasses that seem like a good idea until you put them on, and vice versa. I ended up getting totally different glasses than I expected when I tried them on. I like the first, fourth, and fifth pairs with my mental image of your face (as much as I like the sixth conceptually, you're just not Ted from Queer Eye, and I actually think the frames will be big on your face) - but my mental image may be off. If you want to take pictures of yourself with sample pairs, I'd love to judge that way! :)
