How did D lose his shoes? Inquiring minds want to know!

You know, that's an excellent question, and one I am unable to answer. Sometime yesterday, between noonish and fiveish, between the town of Xingping and the whitewater rapids we rafted down (long story), the bag that held his shoes (because we had traded our shoes in for plastic flipflops for the river) was no longer with him. We had a few bus rides and a few tuktuks and quite a bit of frustrated running around in the interim. I wish I knew- they were really nice Timberland hiking shoes (well, fake ones from the fakes market, but still...)
