Everyone has always dogged Bradshaw for being and idiot - even back in his playing days. It mainly comes from what he says - he's got a lot of down home "countryisms" that the wonderful people and reporters of Pittsburgh never truly got. However, and make no mistake about this - he was one of the smartest, and most technially sound not to mention physically gifted QBs to ever play the game. If you don't believe me, go back and check the film. And remember that when he played, DBs could mug the reciever all the way down the field, and roughing the passer was only called in the QBs head popped off along with his helmet.
