the cherry snow has gathered in low, pink drifts against the two steps down to my doorway, and i am shaken by how much i am able to feel. it's been an early summer, and the sidewalks are strewn with color. i feel alivebut why do children always draw their pastel-chalk hopscotches too small to hop in? like some summertime child, i haven't yet found ( Read more... )

it's been so nice outside. it's been a little confusing for me (i blame it on being a northwesterner!), because it's cloudy and sticky-hot at the same time. when has it ever been so muggy around here? it gives me more excuses to wear skirts, though, so i'm happy.

my hopscotches are coming slowly but surely. and yes, i am trying to tiptoe as much as possible. walk lightly.

and hey, thanks. i am so glad you like the posts! i keep meaning to write more, but i've been confused. the world is cloudy and muggy-hot, and i have been wearing more skirts. i hope the up-north is treating you well, miss k!
