Suki!

I sold my car today, and will be hittin the airport on sunday to move to Orlando.

What happens after I get there, and complete 5 month program is still a bit blurry, but it involves Business school in a warm climate (see The South[including Orlando], CA, and Texas for potential Locations).

But more importantly: we bid farewell to Suki.

Suki the Suzuki.

2004 XL-7.

RIP / DWSNTGD (Deal With Stupid New Teenage Girl Driver)

You drove a lot of Grilled Chicken Plates, Limeade, and Southwest Combos throughout the Valley (and beyond), and drove many a drunk college kids to and from Tempe, all while sludging your way through 87 octane, at the pace of 19-21 MPG.

You ate my Darjeeling Limited Soundtrack in October '07, and never let go, forcing me into Dead Air on the road to Tucson, or another round of Indian clucking and tamberines. (For the record that CD seemed like a good idea for exactly the 12 minutes it took to purchase, peel open and place in my CD player.. but at that point it was too late.
)

You operated as the largest most expensive school locker, holding more business school books than Arizona State could hope to have a graduate read.

You broke down in front of Shupe's apartment, and at Zoes.

You've seen New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi (kinda), and Mobile, Alabama right after Katrina. You hummed along the Floridian Freeways splashing more puddles than you'd seen in your whole life in AZ. You spontaneously saw Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. North Carolina was where we first learned that you were able to BEEP and display Snowflakes on the dash, when things got too cold.

You were vandalized on April Fools, and keyed because you were new and parked in Sunnyslope.

You only got pulled over when Car Insurance was actually being paid for, and never during the lapsed periods.

and your service will be missed.... kinda.

I'm looking forward to exclusively car-pooling, and using buses/shuttles. If I can't adjust, I'll simply use the money I sold Suki for, to put a FAT down payment on a reasonable 2008 or 2009 vehicle.
