I'm not sure how I feel about these.

Are we going to get vocabulary lessons from you now?

Knowledge is power~

Besides that, there's an entire lexicon of lost words that desperately need resurrection! How else can such beautiful and descriptive terms come to see the light of day once again if not through dedicated lovers of the English language?

I guess I can agree with that.

Aa, but the real question is...why, after so readily spurning me for a silly joke, are you even willing to talk to me, hm~?

...is this going to be a regular thing from you Lavi?

I like Vetanda...and know exactly who not to use Twee on...I don't suppose you have the etymology (aside from Ucalegon that is). Can't imagine what you'd need the third word for...

Dunno yet. I guess until I run out of words that don't just run straight into potty humor...

Eh, only for twee - "tiny, dainty, miniature," 1905, from childish pronunciation of sweet.

Also - "having but one butt cheek" = "half-assed"

...I won't comment on those posts, just as a warning Captain. (The potty humor ones...)

Twee...funny, I thought it sounded like a kid pronouncing something, but I was guessing tree...a miniature tree perhaps. Still interesting.

Too much information

Hence why I'm choosing to steer clear of them - I wouldn't want to scar the delicate sensibilities of such princesses as yourself~ ♥

Cutesy things tend to by synonymous with childish things.

Yes, but it does lend itself to a variety of insulting uses~

...That first one sounds more like a sound effect, not a word.

Onomatopoeia are still words, too, you know~

Not that "twee" is a sound effect, per se, though it is based off of a not-word. But it is a real word, either way, if you base its legitimacy on whether or not it appears in dictionaries.

True.

It just seems weird for a word like that to come up in a conversation. Like, "that's twee!" or something. Sounds so odd.

....Good to know, but I'm not sure that stuff's gonna come up in conversation very often.

I think "vetanda" needs to be used a lot more often than it is.

....What would you use it on?

Everybody does things that should not be done. I suppose, though, the word is vague, as it calls into question of who decides what should and should not be done.
