Thank you for hating my parents. :D They sure are greedy for each not wanting to hurt to other by being a constant reminder of their failed love for each other and for deciding not to make their children feel bad by constantly arguing in front of us. Pure selfishness there, yep.
Also, does this ad (The ad, not the column you read) ever specifically say that this man is the father of these kids and not, say, their uncle? Because that would be easily believable and not be a weird advertising move.

Its like saying a murderer doesn't want to be reminded of murderering someone!
You don't have the right to hide your past or your failures!
And the ad does say its a divorced couple at their website. The kids even call him "dad."
