I've been making SOCKS!

Jun 03, 2010 22:03

I have! It's gotten warm enough that I've put my winter knitting projects away (one of these years I WILL finish that Dr. Who scarf, really!) and I'm back to my favourite summer knitting projects: SOCKS!

Most often, I knit both socks at the same time using a process called "two socks on two circs" or two circular knitting needles. The two pair I'm working on right now, though, I'm making one at a time on double-pointed needles (DPNs), which means they run the risk of contracting Orphan Sock Syndrome.

I'm kind of hoping that by posting about them here, I'll find myself less likely to slack and not complete the second sock in each pair. (Yeah, I'll let you know how that works out for me...)

Also, there are pictures! Click on the thumbnails to go to the Flickr sets for each.
