My son is going to be sixteen in less than a week.

My son. Is going to be sixteen! In less than a week.

What the hell happened? He used to be shorter than me. Now he's almost six feet tall, and is well on his way to becoming a pretty damned amazing young man.

Dude. Sixteen! Why do they have to grow up so damned fast?

Kidlet the younger received an honour roll award, today, for all As and Bs plus proficiency in all of her math facts, computer use and reading fluency scores.

That's pretty awesome. I'm pretty proud of her. =)

World 800m champion Caster Semenya has been asked by the International Association of Athletics Federations to take a test to prove her gender.
