The Yarns, Clementine part 13

On returning from vacation, Chestnut (autonomously!) lends a hand to the necessary clean up. Gross dishes!



Apparently Peat has all the treasure chest finding luck in this house, still none for Clementine. But at least Ben can helpfully fill the holes in!



Back to the easel! Paint us a masterpiece Clementine!



Ben: Way to finish all your homework in record time, Chestnut! *beams like any Knowledge sim uncle/father would*
Chestnut: Uh, thanks uncle Ben.



6:00pm, do you know where your sims are?



Growing up! It's elder Clementine, in great need of new clothes.



Time for a little shopping trip! She took Chestnut with her, promising to stop at the pet store on the way home.



I'm glad you approve, lol.



Clementine, all dressed up! (familiar kimono, anyone? ^.^)



True to her word, they stop at the local pet store, Paw Prints, on the way home.



Chestnut, I thought you wanted to get a bird!!



Back home, Chestnut shows that he knows the best sleeping spot of the house.



But I made him climb out and set up the bird cage instead. He named his bird Cocoa. Cocoa is a popular bird, you'll see him later for sure.

Karaoke + ghost scare = true townie test.



I think she passed??



Oh hi Marmalade! Here to see your little Chestnut?



*goes to check on other sims* Awww, sleeping tight and dreaming about not being dead.



*goes back to Chestnut*
Chestnut: AHHHHHHHhH!H!



Chestnut: I think ... that was a ghost. *feels heart racing*
Yes, yes it was.



Everyone is very attracted to this wall hanging and go look at it 1923847 times a day. It's an old family heirloom, and actually a token of an alien "skill" some of them have inherited from their alien ancestors. Peat however, does not have the right combination of genes to have developed the alien skill. No teleporting for him.



The brothers wolf down an early morning bowl of cereal.



Russet: So, what should we do today Peat? Do you have a quest in mind?
Peat: Why is your cereal more sparkly than mind? *is hurt*



Look, it's Cocoa! Time for some bird & boy spam!











/spam.



Peat spends much of his day like this. Perhaps searching for sparkly cereal? He does have good sparkly luck though, he keeps finding the treasure chests (he's up to three in game currently, though I've played ahead ^.^)!



Clementine is digging for treasure too, but is rudely interrupted. I'd be scared of that face too, lol!



Chestnut likes all the animals. I think he plays fetch with all the dogs that come by.



Clementine's taken an interst in literature, and along with that an interest in telling her own story.



So she does!



Chestnut is a popular scare-destination for the ghosts. Poor Chestnut. =[



Clementine: I just spent all night writing my fabulous book, someone could at least make me some pancakes and bring me a blanket!!@!!!



Clementine: *rages*
She's very pretty when she's mad, don't you think? Teehee.



Chestnut found the karaoke machine!



I got a little misty eyed remembering how much his parents loved singing there together.



Russet: You see these shiney stones here?
Chestnut: *nods*
Russet: They were found in the sands of our island castle! We dug and dug until we found each of these stones, ten in all.



Russet: And they even hold MAGICAL POWERS!!!!
Chestnut: Really? *is doubtful* They look pretty normal from down here.
Russet: pffft. Silly cousin. They're MAGICAL!! For real, your dad told me!
Chestnut: *stares in wonder*



Look, it's the First Customer! The boys were finally convinced that they could sell some of their *many* bones, rocks, and statues to help the family pay for groceries and other household bills. (Okay, it might have helped a little when we told them they could buy more seeds, shovels, and fancy shirts ^.^). So, without further ado, I bring you their thrifty Stuff For Everyone!



Russet tries his hand at sales.



And at the cash register. It had been a long night, and Chestnut and Ben (who had come along for the adventure) were getting grumpy. So they headed home. But they sold stuff - success!



Clem keeps writing. This time she's writing about her trip to the Far East as a child.



How to run a business, step 1: Bring your brother with you to man the cash register.



step 2: Try to sell your very awesome (expensive) treasure chest to everyone.



step 3: Have water balloon fights with your customers.



step 4: Play in the piles of leaves.
step 5: Sucess!



Back home Chestnut seems to have come down with the flu =[



He stayed home from school that day.



Not even bubbles could cheer him up! Poor baby.



Oh, okay. That's better!



I have no words for this. LOL



Peat and Chestnut had stopped at the local flower shop on the way home from their own "shop" and picked up this toy for Chestnut.



Chestnut: Whoooa!



And Peat got a kite XD I think Russet must have helped him pick it out.





Despite the flu, I think he likes it!



Such pretty fall colors. *relaxes*



Ah! She's finished her second book!



Ben: Darling, I think you capture the details of that thunderstorm perfectly. The way it resonates with the hot tea and scary dragon is fantastic!



Clementine: Really?! *is proud*
Aww, sweet Clementine :D



You weren't already best friends?!?! O_O



Ben maxed creativity!



And then grows up ...



Ben: Well, that could have gone better.
Oops. Sorry there.



And on the other side of the house



...Chestnut is growing up!



Chestnut: Look Cocoa! I'm so *fabulous!*



As a sort of apology for having grown up badly, I gave Ben the awesome-est elder makeover. Srsly. I think I'm in love with his orange hair and white beard!



Chestnut: I'm sorry what did you say?
?? I love Ben's orange hair?



Chestnut: Well I have orange hair too!
Yes, yes you do. (He rolled Romance, btw. Seems appropriate given his parents. He wants to WooHoo 20 sims, lol.)
