The Yarns, Peat part 6

On returning home this Games Hobby dude came and went multiple times. He had lots of membership cards to give out and congratulations to give. And of course he couldn't do it all on in one trip, oh no!



The girls didn't go to school that first day back, so they spent it working on other important skills. Like painting!



And uh ... book reading!



Enchanted: It's the best painting EVAR!!! XD



Cocoa didn't survive their trip :(((



So Peat decides to play a rousing game of Don't Wake the Llama. It's what Cocoa would have wanted ... *sniff*

(btw, a friend linked me to this RL game. Now I wanna play!! Game night anyone?!)



Enchanted: Oh HAI! I get a plaque!??!?! I’M THE BEST AT THIS GAME!!
Games dude: Well, actually I hand out these plaques to lots of people. You should join us sometime for a tournament.
Enchanted: You didn’t just say that :((((( *minus*



Enchanted: I AM the best. I just know it. *pluuuuus games enthusiasm* He's just sadly misinformed.



Back at the table Enchanted shows us how awesome she is with her ~glowing~
Enchanted: Caaaareful Gramma!!



Enchanted: You did it! *eye twitch*



And Enchanted’s games plaque (well, actually Clementine got one first) makes all ten hobby plaques!!

Clementine demonstrates that she still has a vibrant memory by giving Allison a Hot Stone massage. (Gotta use that massage table at least once, lol)



Over the weekend they got lots of snow!! Enchanted and Emerald make the best of it by building a snowman.



And snow angels! I love watching them do that :D



Peat and Allison. Again. They do this a lot.



Moar family times!! Someone invited over the Russet clan.



Cousins play.



While apparently the grownups disagree with one another.



Sprout: I love getting together with the whole family!
Enchanted: Shh! Concentrating!



I just love Seedlings expression here. Her siblings are all excited about whatever Enchanted is attempting to do, but Seedling? Not so much, lol.



More hamburgers, to remind them all of warmer times :D



Seedling and Emerald have good play times. Cuz you know the bathroom is the BEST place for cops & robbers!



Clementine shows her grandchildren how it’s done.



Sprout: Gramma sings funny songs!! *laughs*



Next morning Enchanted’s Aspiration bar is full. WOOT!



It's time to get back to work, and for Peat and Allison that means getting back to their little shop. They spent the day making sales and ringing up customers.



Their stockpile of sellables is getting a wee bit low. Time for some digging!



Peat: OOooooh, another bone. I bet Russet would like this one!
Allison: *from the other side of the yard* When will we be able to use that rocket shovel?! This is hard work!!!
Peat: Soon enough, dear!! I just need to get the right proportion of rocket fuel.
Allison: You've been saying that for years ... :((



And then later that afternoon, the inevitable happens.
Grim: MRS CLEMENTINE YARN??
Clementine: ... yes?
Grim: IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO COME WITH ME.
Clementine: It is?



Grim: WELL I WOULDN'T HAVE BROUGHT THIS DRINK AND THE GIRLS IF IT WAS A SOCIAL CALL, NOW WOULD I?
Clementine: I don't want to!
Grim: *sigh* They always say that! NOW HERE IS WHEN I SAY... YOU'VE LIVED A LONG HAPPY LIFE, BUT IT'S TIME TO GO. OH, AND BEN AND MARMALADE SAID TO TELL YOU TO HURRY UP.
Clementine: *amazed* Ben?! MARMALADE?!!! Where?!
Grim: WELL, IF I TOLD YOU I'D HAVE TO KILL YOU.
Clementine: ...
Grim: ... RIGHT. WELL...



Emerald: *cries loudly*



Clementine: *listens intently*
Grim: *says something we can't hear over Emerald's crying.*



Clementine: Really?!?!? That's just how I wrote it in my book!

And with that, she's gone.



Allison and Peat comfort one another in their own way.



While the girls continue crying. :(((



Between active ghosts and crying for their Gramma, Emerald and Enchanted have trouble sleeping.



But really, who needs sleeping when you could be slow dancing in the kitchen in the wee morning hours?!



Really, Allison? O_o



With the loss of Clementine, the family does a little bit of rearranging, and gathers almost all of Clem's mementos together on one wall. Quite a sight, no?



Ahhh, nothing like a rousing game to start the morning. (Especially on a snow day!)



Emerald: Oooooh! You killed me dead as a ghost!
Enchanted: *cools off pretend gun*



Emerald: I know, let's pretend I'm the wolf ghost!
Enchanted: No, I'm the wolf ghost! You be the thief who comes to take his sparkly treasure!



After a bit of pretend ghost playing, Enchanted and Emerald move on to one of their favorites, Troika.



Enchanted: WHOOOOOoo! I just lifted that HUGE box!! Did you see that?!
Emerald: *busy fighting off baddies*



Peat: Whatcha playing, girls?
Enchanted: Troika.
Peat: OOOooooh, the one with the awesome knight?!
Enchanted: The wizard is cooler, but ... uh ... sure Papa!





Emerald: You know, the Thief is way more cool than the Wizard.
Enchanted: Nu-uh. *levitates hammer to smash down door*



Emerald: *sneaks through*
Enchanted: Hey!! It was MY TURN!



Enchanted: Great...and now we're dead.
Emerald: IT WASN'T MY FAULT!! You should have been the knight and smashed them. I can't do everything!
Enchanted: *woe*



Enchanted: You should have seen them coming after I cleared the path!
Emerald: I did and I shot them with arrows silly. ... WATCH OUT!



*both characters die*
Both girls: *woe*



Emerald: WHOOoooOO! Did you see that?!
Enchanted: I should have just played by myself. *is grouchy*





Enchanted: You know, Emerald, I could have beat this level all by myself.



Emerald: Yeah right!



Emerald: I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!
Enchanted: Tee hee.



Emerald: Why would you say something like that? Don't you want me to play with you??



Enchanted: Just saying ... I'm so much better at this game than you.
Emerald: :(( Big sister :(((((



Allison: Did you know it's Enchanted's birthday?
eleme: Oh rly? Is that why she's standing there with a birthday cake?



Oh look, Russet and Seedling came to cheer her on :)



Emerald: WhoooOO! Happy Birthday big sister!
Ahh, the ever-loyal Emerald.

Next time on the Yarns: Teenager Enchanted gets a makeover and we find out what aspiration she chose.



Oh, and in case there was any doubt, yes. There will be a surprise baby too :D
