The Yarns, Peat part 8

Birthday cake is iced, candles are lit, wish is decided...



and family is cheering!



Happy Birthday Emerald! (wow, that excitement died fast oO)



Straight to the mirror to get her hair back. And a spiffy necklace reminicent of her Gramma Clementine :)



Over to the wardrobe to try on some new outfits. This is definitely not it.



Oooooh!! PERFECT!



Emerald works through teenage clumsiness quickly, dancing intricate slap dances within hours of growing up!



While her parents celebrate her birthday in a different way. These two never give up XD



Clementine visits the baby sleeping in her old room. She looks pleased :)

Enchanted maxes creativity in her jamies!!!



I don't really remember why this picture is here, unless it's to show you that they *really* like to kiss!



Gramma Clementine's honeymoon photo album has been found!! Emerald spent the hours before school perusing it's pages.



And Enchanted pondered this eastern scroll.



OH NOES!! He's hit another pipe :(( I'm just glad he doesn't hit as many as his brother, or as his ancestor, Scuba.



Emerald: Oooh Sherlock! You're so funny!
Sherlock Yasu: Who me? Tee hee!!
Emerald met Sherlock Yasu at school, but he's actually her aunt Henye's younger brother!! She thinks he's really sweet, and just what she wished for!

I suppose now would be a good time to tell you that she rolled Romance. And she wants to have 20 simultaneous lovers. Just like her second cousin/uncle Chestnut, great-Aunt Marmalade, and great-grandfather Ash. Maybe it's about time I fulfilled that LTW.



Oooh look!! Enchanted is home from her first day of work as a Golf Caddy!



Enchanted: You mean my LAST day of work. *sigh*
That's not good! What happened?
Enchanted: Some rich dude who was golfing said I was being a know-it-all, like that was a BAD thing! Geeez. *shakes head*

Maybe the Yarn's are just out of practice at careers, I mean, no one has had a job since Brooke (black gen)!! Green gen requirements state that the heir must:: Reach Top of 2 Career Tracks and Make $100,000. We've got our work cut out for us!



But she's made it home in time for another Yarn birthday! Complete with cousins dancing in the kitchen and teenagers falling in love!



Enchanted: *thumbs up* Greeeeeat. /sarcasm
Family: *stares*



And Frog Prince grows up, while no one is looking!!



Clearly more important things are happening.
Chestnut: *pounds chest*
Emerald: Uhhh, Uncle Chestnut? What are you doing?



Chestnut: HHHuuuuH!



Emerald: Yeaaaah, I don't get it.
Chestnut: Awww, come on!! Don't tell me your Gramma Clementine didn't teach you that!
Emerald: Nope, can't say that she did.
Chestnut: *is disappointed*



Frog Prince gets a makeover!!



Frog Prince: OOooh, I have hands!! And they're oddly mint-y colored! MMMmmmmmm!!!!!
Hey!! Frog Prince!



Frog Prince: Bwah?
Say HI! to everyone!
Frog Prince: HAAAAAAAI



Meanwhile in the kitchen the slap dancing continues late into the night.



And papa Peat gets right to work teaching Frog Prince the important toddler skills.



Peat: Come on, little Prince!!
He catches on fast :)



Peat: *is proud*



Sherlock Yasu is slightly stalker-ish and stands outside the tent Emerald had disappeared into. So I told her to get out!



He really wanted to tell her something, but now they're all shy like. SO CUTE *SQUEEEEE*

autonomous toddler care!!



Since their parents are still in bed, Emerald joins her sister in completing toddler care. Platinum teens are SO USEFUL. dude.



I miss his little crown, so Enchanted humors me and goes to get him dressed.



She's quite skilled at the toddler toss by now! And Frog Prince thinks it's fun too! lol



OH I SEE U THAR!!



So that's what you're doing while the girls take care of Frog Prince?! HMMMM? no more babies?? m'kay?



I guess they realized the girls were at school.



Allison: Okay, Frog Prince. This is a VERY important skill for being a big Prince.
Frog Prince: Bwaah?
Allison: Put the poop and pee here instead of the diapers!! And you'll be a big Prince!



Meanwhile, the girls are home from school! Whatcha sneaking for?



Oh, the fountain?
Emerald:Yeah. Enchanted dared me to put soap in it.
And?
Emerald: I think that was a stupid idea.



So instead, Emerald gets right to work. Soap in the fountain isn't going to help her max two careers!



whooooa there!



ooh, that's gotta hurt.



but she is *~motivated~*



And someone else's hard work finally pays off!! (And no I don't mean the toddler picking his nose!)



Frog Prince: Aha!! *finds booooger in nose*
Allison: AHA!~! I have teh muscles!!



We've just got all kinds of success.





lulz.



So she goes out for a jog, to celebrate. Peat's off on a hike. Maybe they'll "meet up" on the top of the hill?



And even Frog Prince is on a mission! ONWARD!



(for great justice!)



Over dinner that night...
Peat: Did you guys hear?



Everyone: Hear what?!
Peat: You DIDN'T?! *surprise*
Enchanted: C'mon, what?!



Peat: On the third level of Troika, the wizard can make planks!!
Enchanted: O ya!! I discovered that last night! It's way better than jumping all the time.



Emerald: Did you get to the next part, after the Dragon Graveyard? They can SWIM!
Peat: No way! *plus*
Allison: I bet there's good pirate treasure underwater.
Enchanted: There IS!!! But see, the knight? He sinks really fast, not so good at the swimming and finding pirate treasure.



Enchanted: The wizard is way better at swimming.
Emerald: *glares* Of course she'd say that.
Peat: That spaghetti was delicous *plus*



Emerald: But Papa! Where are you going?
Peat: Oh just to check if we have ice cream.
Allison: OH! Icecream! I want some!



Enchanted: So, do you think they'll find more artifacts?
Emerald: Isn't that like, the whole point of the game?



Emerald: But they'll probably be broken or something, HA! Wouldn't that be funny. I bet the wizard will be mad.
Peat: There isn't any icecream!
Allison: I thought there was! I'll come look.



Emerald: The wizard keeps saying more and more stuff about those other artifacts, what if there aren't any? What if they're in pieces or VANISHED?!



Emerald: HA! Then they'd be together ~forevers~!



Peat and Allison: *clear the table*
Enchanted: They're not vanished, or broken!
Emerald: Oh yeah?! Like how we weren't going to have that snow day? Cuz I totally won that bet.



Emerald: *pluuuuussss*
Enchanted: Must. change. topic.



Enchanted: Sooooo, how about those clouds today?
Emerald: *confused about sister's sudden interest in the weather*



Enchanted: They were so fabulous!! Sprout said she saw one that looked like a turtle!
uh huh. Suuuuure.



Apparently the lack of ice cream has influenced Peat to go play ... golf?



Allison: What are you doing out here, silly Peat?
Peat: Trying a new game!!



Peat: OOoh! adskfj@!



Allison: Poor dear.



Such concentration!



Can't have an update without a ghost, now, can we?!

And for the coming summer Peat and Allison have added a new porch area to the back.



Complete with a dining area...



and grill! We're ready for summer - bring on the parties and fun!

Next time with the Yarns: Peat tries to join the Gardening Club (again), and Emerald makes some wishes! Be looking for it soon, I hope to have part 9 up this weekend too!
