Bolero Lyrics

Oct 18, 2015 13:13

I'm not really sure why they chose this title, considering how the word “bolero” is supposed to be for slow-tempo Latin dance music and I can't really call this song “slow-tempo”, but anyway, it's a fun song to listen to.

For me, bolero imagery is latin, slow, passionnate, fierce.
Maybe that? XDD
But I have to say, this song is sooo mixed up with different sound, voice, and style. It makes Bolero.....not really a song I understand to like....I do hope concert perf can change it LOL

The latin beats are in it, but why incorporate this in a japonism theme album?
It makes me want to run. Thanks for sharing :3

I'm no music major, so someone correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds more like a Brazilian samba rather than a Spanish bolero.

& yeah, I didn't even think about it at first but how does it fit into Japonism???

That's exactly how I feel too. On both points.

I was wondering that too, then I realized that the album is all over the place time period-wise. So I looked up the history of Japanese music and wiki says Japan had a Latin/Cuban music boom in the 1950s. There's even a distinct Japanese version of the tango?!

The album makes so much more sense if you imagine the boys singing through Jpop history! xD
