Gone Fishin’ (十四)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ohno was sighing.
He’d been released from the hospital with a warning to take it easy from Dr. Sakai. As long as he didn’t hit his head again, Ohno would have no further complications. This morning he’d been sent home with an overprotective Jun, who’d had the gall to insist he should carry Leader the twenty steps from his Honda to the elevator. Unsurprisingly, his manager and Jun had worked together to pull some strings in order to rearrange his schedule, giving Ohno a few days off. The idol had rolled his eyes when they’d said it was for his own good and that they didn’t want him to strain himself.
Satoshi thought that resting in bed most of his impromptu vacation and being waited on would be heaven, but after two tearful visits from Aiba, Nino’s worried pouts, and the sixth visit from Sho in three days, he’d already had enough.
Thinking a boat would be more peaceful than this, Ohno sent an overeager Matsujun out to buy fresh bread to get him out of the apartment. He sighed again with relief and only a bit of guilt for what he was about to do. Happy to toss off the covers he’d been forced under, Satoshi stretched his arms over his head. He looked outside the bedroom window at the bright sun and blue skies. The perfect weather seemed to be beckoning him. Ohno snapped out of his reverie and began to search for a pen to write a quick message to Jun.
He then called Masaaki, his fishing buddy and more times than not, the captain of Ohno’s rented boat. The experienced fisherman was amused by Arashi's Leader and was usually willing to cater to the strange hours the shorter man had to keep. This time was no different. With plans to meet Masaaki at the docks shortly, Ohno threw what few things he would need into a messenger bag, slipping it over his head before he headed to the door.
Satoshi put on some ratty sneakers that Jun had almost thrown out numerous times and opened the door a crack to peek out. He glanced both ways, then headed straight for the stairway. Not even thinking he should be avoiding the stairs as they’d been hazardous to his health lately, he quickly went down to the first floor. He’d only been intent on steering clear of the elevator Jun was sure to return by.
Half an hour later and completely harm free, Ohno finally relaxed as the boat set out to sea. He glanced at his bag which contained his cell phone that was sure to be vibrating furiously with missed calls and messages.
I’m not doing anything stressful. And I’m not even alone. Ohno was following his doctor’s instructions the only way he knew how.
He watched the ocean dance about to a calming rhythm, and occasionally flicked his fishing line to a different spot. Dimly attentive that a few hours had passed, he was surprised to feel the boat’s engine start up. Reeling in his line, the fisher set his pole down and went to find his friend.
“Ma-chan, what’s up?” Satoshi called up to the Captain’s wheel.
“Sorry, but we gotta go back. You see, I just got a scary call from Matsumoto...” the tall man trailed off about a possible threat that may have been delivered.
Ohno hung his head, knowing he’d been caught. Damn. I was hoping I could get at least a few fish before he resorted to calling Ma-chan...
Satoshi was well aware Jun would track him down sooner or later, as he’d done it before when even Otaki couldn’t find him. He shuffled back to reluctantly pack his things, wondering when the next time he might be able to go fishing would be.
Pulling their boat into an empty spot when they arrived at the docks, Masaaki turned off the engine and saluted Ohno with a tragic look on his tan face. Satoshi glared to show his disapproval of the prediction Masaaki gave to his fate. He wasn’t sure whether Jun would kill him or not. Stepping off the swaying boat, he blinked when he spotted a familiar white Honda with a figure sitting on its hood. Satoshi was a little nervous at the reception he would receive. Jun slid off the hood when he shuffled closer and got in the driver’s side without a word.
Ohno winced. A silent pissed off Matsujun was a little harder to deal with than a yelling Jun.
Opening the passenger door, he bowed and immediately said, “I’m really sorry.” His boyfriend only sighed and didn’t reply.
The tense car ride back to their apartment was dead quiet, even absent of Matsujun’s ever-present radio. Ohno nervously picked at a fraying hole in his jeans.
I don’t know what to say.
When the Honda finally stopped in Jun’s parking space, Leader was compelled to apologize again. The other man showed no sign of hearing him and walked to the entrance, but Satoshi finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the taller man wait for him to catch up.
His hope was short lived, because Jun kept the stony silence once in the apartment, even as he put the assorted breads he’d gone out to buy in front of Satoshi. He bit his lip in guilt and cautioned a look up at his boyfriend, but only caught a quick glimpse of an annoyed expression before Matsujun left him sitting at the kitchen counter.
From the direction of the bathroom, Ohno heard water falling into the bath tub for a while as he remorsefully stared at the Yakeruze bakery sack.
He wasn’t able to move from his spot, even after he faintly noticed the sound of the water had stopped. Lost in thought, he didn’t see that Jun had sauntered back into the kitchen and stopped beside him. Satoshi looked up in surprise, which turned into shock when Jun slid an arm under his legs and behind his back. “What’re you-?”
Ohno instinctively wrapped his arms around Matsumoto’s neck as his boyfriend carried him with ease down the hall. He was confused when they entered the changing room connected to the bathroom, and the other man didn’t stop there. “Jun?”
Entering the warm bathroom, Matsujun smirked as he stepped towards the tub.
“Jun!” Ohno finally figured out his boyfriend’s devilish intentions and struggled to get down. The taller man’s arms tightened around his waist and legs, making it really only possible to push at his chest. “Let me down!”
Jun stopped in front of the full bathtub and grinned. “Okay.”
Ohno squawked as he fell fully clothed into the warm water with a large splash. Jun’s muffled chuckles turned into full blown laughter when he surfaced with a stunned expression on his face.
Matsumoto crouched down smiling next to the tub, brushing his dripping hair out of his eyes and giving him a kiss. “Now I forgive you.”
I guess I deserved that.
Ohno vigorously rubbed a towel through his short hair, heading to the kitchen. Right as he padded barefoot across the tile floor, Jun glanced up from his cutting board. “I was worried about you, you know. So was everyone else. Sho-kun about had a heart attack when I showed him your ‘Gone Fishin’’ note.”
Satoshi blinked. “Sho-chan came by again?”
“He wouldn’t leave until I made the phone call to Masaaki-san.”
Ohno hopped onto the counter to relax and watch his boyfriend professionally slice up some fruit.
“Don’t sit on the counter. Use a chair.”
“Don’t wanna. I’d rather be closer to you.”
Jun paused cutting his strawberries and smiled, forgetting he should be annoyed. “How do you always do that, Satoshi?”
The artist looked at him quizzically, head tilted.
Jun popped a few slices of strawberry in his mouth and turned to Ohno, thinking for a moment as he chewed. “I can’t stay angry at you. Even if you go fishing with a concussion.”
Ohno smirked wryly and shrugged. “Sorry?”
The taller man moved to stand directly in front of Ohno, putting an arm on either side, blocking him in. Jun moved his face closer, until the warm breath on Leader’s cheek caused him to shiver, “You don’t sound very sorry.”
Satoshi tried for an innocent smile. “That’s cuz...I’m not?”
Jun growled and closed the short distance with a intense kiss. Ohno seemed to need the connection as much as the other, because he grabbed Matsujun’s hips to bring him closer. Their earlier anxiety had transformed into sexual tension somewhere along the way and it had just reached a boiling point.
He granted Jun’s tongue access to his mouth. The taste of a strawberry kiss was intoxicating for Ohno.
Cool hands slid up under Satoshi’s shirt to run slowly up his spine. Ohno almost jerked from the feathery sensation, but settled for wrapping his legs tightly around Jun’s waist.
Jun momentarily grew stiff and tried to pull away, without much success. Ohno really didn’t want to give up those lips.
“Satoshi... If we... I won’t be able...to stop.” Jun panted between kisses, looking at him with a cloudy gaze. The taller man slid his hands away from Ohno’s back and moved them to press lightly on his boyfriend’s chest.
Ohno shot him an annoyed glare. “Who says I want you to?” he complained, trying to reclaim that sweet taste.
Strong arms firmly held his shoulders back. “Wait. You realize...what I mean, right?” Jun searched Ohno’s eyes worriedly.
Satoshi growled, “You want to have sex. So do I. Can we go back to kissing now?”
His heart skipped a beat from the smile that grew on Jun’s face. The distance between them vanished immediately, Jun pressing as close as possible to his boyfriend. The younger man slowly massaged along his waist and thighs until the hands dipped lower to grab his ass, suddenly jerking him closer.
“Hmph!” Ohno’s startle exclamation disappeared into Jun’s moist mouth. Moaning in pleasure, Satoshi wrapped his arms around the taller man’s neck to deepen their kiss.
No words were needed to coordinate how to get to the bedroom. Jun tightened the hold on his butt and lifted, while Ohno kept his firm hold around Jun’s waist and neck. They moved as gracefully as could’ve been expected in their positions, only bumping into the counter and a doorway, before collapsing on the bed.
Awkward moments were only met by laughter between the couple. Whispered confessions exchanged and bare skin joined, they spent the night getting to know each other on a new level.
Author’s Note:
For anyone who was concerned about Ohno being dumped into the bath tub after having gotten a concussion, I don’t think there's a need to worry. The height I imagined in the story wasn’t really all that far. Jun probably would’ve bent over to lessen the distance too. XD
Jun and Satoshi have official done it. Yay! I’ll leave the rest to your imaginations. *blushes*
