So, MFF came and went almost as soon as it had started a couple of weeks ago.  I don't really have anything recent by which to compare it (the last time I was in this neck of the woods was after sneaking out from Wolf Park with darkwolph to MFF in 2003!), but it was certainly one of the best social weekends ( Read more... )

Heh! Five-year-olds are (a) fearless, and (b) much shorter and smaller, so they don't have so far to fall and the have a bit less inertia when they do...

Looks like you had fun on the white stuff, though. :)

Awesome photos! I'm curious how the ski resort and skiers responded to fursuiters. Did you hit the hills like that, or did you just hang out at the chalet and take photos? :)

Genuine ski-ing whilst dressed as animals. The ski resort loves it, as do those ski-ing there - it's a very laid back vibe. I've had lift attendants fuzzle my ears before whilst suited, we had mountain rescue pose for photographs with us, and the resort photographer took some pictures which he said he might use for marketing and publicity.

Nope - those photos were taken at the top of the chairlift by the official resort photographer (similar service to theme park ride pictures) before we set off for one of many runs down the piste. :)

Although we by-and-large only stuck to the easy slopes (you have no perception of steepness through mesh eyes!), as emejn says, it seems even the resort staff and mountain rescuers couldn't resist the lure of giant fluffy animals. :)
