A virtue that I'm still trying to learn is compassion. A mother that can only see her son's failures obviously has some serious untreated psychological problems: it's not a character trait to direct so much negitivity towards your kin - it's a straight-up mental condition.
Perhaps some day you'll see past hating your mother, and feel compassion for a person that's so wretched inside that takes it out on her own son.
