Went to Siggraph this week. This years show was obviously a much smaller show than it was even two years ago, and that show was smaller than it had been two years before that. I sense a trend here... This was like half the size of '08. Still a cool show, if you can get in for free. Did more VR stuff, saw a lot of cool demos, didn't see as many '

Thanks for the review of Siggraph too... maybe someday I'll try to peek into that :>

Actually, you might be interested to know that ALL of the studios at Siggraph were displaying 'we're hiring!' messages, in some form or another. Some were doing portfolio reviews right on the show floor. Obviously, they were mostly looking for 3D artists.

Well, the '11 show is in Vancouver, BC. And I will assume (from previous patterns) that the '12 show will be back in LA or close by.
